Superbia by day by Vidom Superbia by day by Vidom
Overgrown futuristic city center made with Mandelbulb3D.
Full view recommended!

The light blue distant haze is made by fog settings.
The 'lift' is a structure of the fractal itself; instead of deleting it I decided that, well... that it was a lift :D
The light flare on the lift structure is the only change I made in Photoshop, after usual contrast and luminosity settings :-)

I will submit a 'Superbia by night' too, with an different and interesting (imho) light map.
And thanks for watching :-)

I hate you. Stop making these or I'll die of starvation and exhaustion.

I guess this is where most masterpieces start, as digital designs rendered through more than one program

This is for fractal lovers, you can see the shapes which are hidden by colors in the night version.

This is amazing. I especially love the lower centre where the building comes out to a long balcony type feature, I can imagine the people using it observing the city they live in and have experienced. lighting is very beautiful too :) but I agree with you (i think you said?) the night ones quite confusing...for me anyway.

Yes, it's a matter of personal taste! In this one you can actually see features and fill them with your fantasy. This would be great to be manipulated with people and big luminous ads and flying cars and all. The other has no space for that. :-)

Beautiful... I can never figure out how people manage to 'find' these things in Mandelbulb... are you magic?

No, I just see them while navigating and changing parameters. First it's just a glimpse, and idea of a place, then I refine the parameters and the colors to make it looking better :-)

Yeah, I suck at parameters, with me, it's just random flailing, 'cause I don't actually know what the parameters do, or what they mean... so I make a lot of ugly when I play with MandelBulb 3D.

Oh, but that's the same with me! I don't really know how they do work; I look at the result, if bad I change them :D

O_o wat?

I'm not even awake 12+ hours every day! :wow:

Now, there are days I use Blender for 12+ hours, but that's when the darn muse is riding my like a pretty pink pony and she won't let me stop... which is pretty rare, but it happens.

Lol.
I think I can arrive to 16 hours per day, but only when renderings are included because I can do other things while rendering :-)
I see you can understand, when you're inspired time has no much meaning :-)

I really don't care anymore, my most viewed fractal wasn't awarded a DD but even the DD ones couldn't reach its popularity, weird things happen on DA :D
Anyway, I won my last DD near Christmas day so no more will arrive, if any, before July :-)
Thanks!

I alwayslike it to hunt for your Watermark, but this time I need help. If you divide the pic into 9 parts, where is it then (top right, middle bottom, center, ect.)

Anyways, looks really nice, somehow the fog in the background is more fascianting than the rest for me :)
